Introduction to Ground Self Defense for Women
Many real-life altercations can end up on the ground, where size and strength can quickly become a disadvantage. This class focuses on practical skills designed to help women stay calm, create space, and safely work their way back to their feet.
You’ll learn how to escape common holds and pins, use leverage instead of strength, protect yourself from vulnerable positions, and respond effectively when under pressure. Each technique is taught in a safe, supportive environment with an emphasis on skills that can be practiced and remembered.
This class is designed for women of all ages and experience levels, with a minimum age of 11. You do not need previous martial arts or self-defense experience to participate.
In this class, you’ll practice:
- Escaping common ground holds and pins
- Using leverage when facing a larger or stronger person
- Creating space and safely returning to your feet
- Practical defensive techniques from vulnerable positions
- Staying composed and making effective decisions under pressure
Whether this is your first self-defense class or you’ve trained before, the goal is to leave with practical skills you can continue building on.
Every registration also includes a free class refresher, giving you another opportunity to practice the techniques and keep them fresh.
