Smart Girl Self Defense
1. Print-On-Demand Fulfillment Model
All products sold by Smart Girl Self Defense are fulfilled using a print-on-demand (POD) production process. Each item is custom-made specifically for you after your order is placed. Because of this personalized production method, our return and exchange policies differ from traditional retail stores.
By placing an order, you agree to the terms outlined in our fulfillment, return, and refund policy below.
2. Return & Exchange Policy
Due to the made-to-order nature of our products, Smart Girl Self Defense does not accept returns or exchanges in the following cases:
Non-Refundable Scenarios:

Incorrect size, color, or product variant selected by the customer at checkout.

Change of mind or buyer’s remorse after the order has been placed.

Product is received as ordered but the customer desires a different size, color, or style.

Orders returned due to invalid, incomplete, or incorrect shipping addresses. (In these cases, only the product cost will be refunded. Shipping fees are non-refundable. Reprints are available at the customer’s expense.)
3. Accepted Claims for Replacement or Refund
Smart Girl Self Defense will issue a free reprint or full refund in the following valid situations:
Eligible Scenarios:

The item arrives damaged or contains a manufacturing defect.

The customer receives an incorrect item, size, color, or design.

The product is lost or damaged during shipping.
4. How to File a Claim
To request a refund or replacement, please follow these steps:

Submit your claim within:

30 days of delivery for U.S. orders

45 days of delivery for international orders

Contact Smart Girl Self Defense via our support form or by email.

Include the following:

Your order number
-
A detailed description of the issue

Clear photo or video evidence of the problem

You do not need to return the damaged or incorrect item.
Additional information may be requested if the initial evidence is unclear or incomplete.
5. Refund Methods
Refunds will be processed as follows:

By default, refunds are issued to your Smart Girl Self Defense account balance (if applicable).

Upon request, refunds can be returned to your original payment method.

For payments made in currencies other than USD, refunds will be issued directly to the original payment source (e.g., credit/debit card or PayPal).
6. Important Notes & Limitations

Smart Girl Self Defense does not issue refunds or reprints for poor-quality, low-resolution, or incorrectly formatted artwork submitted by customers.

Minor variations in print placement (up to 1 inch) are normal for POD products and are not considered defects.

Smart Girl Self Defense is not responsible for design errors (such as typos or misalignment) caused by artwork that does not meet submission guidelines.
7. Right to Refuse Refunds or Reprints
Smart Girl Self Defense reserves the right to deny any refund or reprint requests if:

The issue is due to customer error.

The claim is false, misleading, or fraudulent.

The submitted artwork violates technical or content guidelines.
