A great class for single moms, or any mom who feels she needs a safety plan for her and her children. This class helps moms and kids build confidence, safety plans, and real-world skills.

You’ll learn how to:

Here’s a description for the Basic Firearm Training for Women– This 3 hour class is designed for the woman who is considering owning a firearm or who may need a refresher on firearm basics. Learn in a comfortable class with other women and our instructor, Dalea, who happens to be a coach at Smart Girl Self Defense too. Dalea will put you at ease.

You’ll start in the classroom at Calibers and then you’ll venture to the shooting range with just your group. You don’t need to bring a firearm but you can choose to do so. You will need eye and ear protection but it can be bought onsite if needed. Closed toed shoes and full length shirts/pants are required. You will need to bring or purchase your ammo onsite but Dalea and others will be there to assist.

No experience is needed.

Home Safety and Clearing Tactics – This 2 hour class is taught using the halls and offices at the Jackson Wink Academy with Greg Jackson. Here you’ll learn the footwork and ideal positioning for navigating and clearing your house if there’s an intruder, as well as how to get your family members out safely.

You will use resin guns (plastic) and then progress to airsoft guns with targets. It is helpful if you’ve had the basic firearm training preceding this but it is not necessary.

All levels welcome. Minimum age 15. Safety glasses or regular glasses if you wear them are fine, as well as closed toe shoes. A reduced refresher fee is available for this class.
